During its 6th mission in June 2018, the Lifeline rescued 234 men, women and children off the coast of Libya. The ship was denied permission to dock in Italy and Spain, no port of safety was assigned for 6 days, finally the Maltese authorities gave green light for docking in their port. Upon arrival, the ship was impounded and the Captain Claus-Peter Reisch facing trial in Malta.
