The Aquarius had visual and radar contact with a rubber dinghy that was at  3,5 nautical miles of the Aquarius position. At the same time 3 high speed crafts, two of them bigger and supposedly Libyan Coast Guard, approached from south and intercepted the rubber dinghy. At 0515 UTC all crafts departed on southerly course towards Libya with the empty rubber dinghy in tow.
